Privacy Policy and Local Data Notice
NotiLoom is a local Android notification-history app. It is designed to store notification records on your device. NotiLoom does not upload notification content to servers operated by Codivo and does not use notification content for advertising or behavioral tracking.
1. Scope and contact
This Privacy Policy and Local Data Notice describes the current data processing performed by NotiLoom. The app is intended to locally archive, display, search, organize, filter, classify, and summarize notifications delivered by Android after you grant notification-listener access. It may also provide local statistics and smart insights, app exclusions, retention controls, an optional app lock, and official-store update checks.

If the store developer name or legal publisher details change, this section should be updated to match the applicable store listing and legal entity information.
2. Data processed on your device
After you enable notification access in Android system settings, NotiLoom may process the following data locally, only to provide the app’s functions:
| Data category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Notification content | Title, visible text, summary, text lines, and links visibly included in a notification | Local archive, display, search, copy, categorization, filtering, and insight generation |
| Notification and app metadata | Source app package name and label, notification key, posted/removed time, ongoing state, favorite state, and locally generated category | Duplicate prevention, app grouping, filtering, statistics, archive organization, and insight generation |
| Local preferences | Excluded apps, retention period, theme, selected app language, and lifetime notification-capture counter | Remembering choices and applying the app behavior you selected |
| App-lock information | A salted PIN verification value and whether biometric unlock is enabled | Optional local app lock |
| Launchable-app list | Package name and label of apps that can be launched from your device | Letting you choose apps to exclude from notification capture |
NotiLoom does not receive, see, or store your fingerprint template, face template, or other biometric template. When biometric unlock is enabled, Android performs the biometric verification through its own security framework.
Notifications may contain sensitive information, including messages, financial information, health-related information, work information, location data, verification codes, or other personal information. NotiLoom does not independently request that information. However, if you enable notification access, visible notification content delivered by Android may be saved locally to provide the notification-history feature.
3. How information is obtained
- Notification access: After you enable Android notification-listener access, NotiLoom may receive new, active, or removed notification events through Android’s notification-listener mechanism.
- Initial synchronization: When access is connected, notifications that are still active in the notification panel may be copied into the local archive. Android does not retroactively provide notifications that were already removed before notification access was connected.
- Local actions: Search, favorites, deletion, exclusions, app lock, appearance, retention, and language settings reflect actions and preferences you make directly on your device.
- App list: The exclusion screen may show launchable apps through Android’s package manager. NotiLoom does not request the
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGESpermission.
4. Permissions and why they are used
| Permission / access | Why it is used | What it is not used for |
|---|---|---|
| Notification listener access (Android special access) | Saving notifications locally, tracking removal state, search, filtering, statistics, and insights | Signing into third-party accounts, remotely managing source apps, or uploading notification content to Codivo servers |
USE_BIOMETRIC | Opening the optional local app lock through Android biometric authentication when you enable it | Collecting, storing, or transferring biometric templates |
INTERNET | Checking update availability and starting official update flows through Google Play or Huawei AppGallery when applicable | Uploading notification content, archive records, messages, smart insights, or preferences to Codivo servers |
| Launchable-app query | Displaying app names/packages so you can select apps to exclude | Collecting contacts, app content, or a general device-usage profile |
| Default SMS/MMS app package lookup | Helping improve local classification of message notifications | Reading SMS/MMS content; NotiLoom does not request READ_SMS or RECEIVE_SMS |
5. Purposes and lawful basis context
NotiLoom’s local processing is limited to providing the notification-archiving and organization features you request. Enabling notification access allows Android to deliver notification events to the app for that purpose. Notification data is not used for advertising, marketing to third parties, credit evaluation, identity verification, or decisions about you.
Where applicable law requires a specific consent or another lawful basis for a particular processing activity, the applicable legal requirements prevail. This notice is intended to describe the app’s current technical behavior and does not reduce rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
6. Storage, deletion, and local security
- Notification records are stored in an app-private Room database on your device.
- App backup is disabled. NotiLoom does not operate a Codivo cloud backup or restore service for your notification archive.
- Automatic cleanup is off by default. You may choose automatic deletion after 7, 30, 90, or 365 days.
- The Clear all history option permanently removes local notification records. This action cannot be reversed.
- The lifetime-capture counter is a separate local statistic. Clearing archive records does not reduce it. Clearing Android app storage or uninstalling the app removes locally stored app data, preferences, and the counter from the device.
- A PIN is not stored as readable plain text. The app stores a verification value created with a random salt. Device compromise, lack of a screen lock, root access, malware, or access by another person may still create risk for local data.
7. Sharing, advertising, tracking, and external services
NotiLoom does not transmit notification content, notification titles, visible notification text, links, archive records, smart insights, or app-lock information to Codivo servers or to another recipient. It does not sell or rent notification content and does not include its own advertising SDK, account system, behavioral-tracking system, profiling system, or third-party analytics/crash-reporting SDK.
Google Play, Huawei AppGallery, Android, the app that posted a notification, and websites or apps you voluntarily open may process technical or other data under their own policies. Official-store update checks may involve technical processing by the applicable store. NotiLoom does not provide notification content to those services.
8. Your controls and rights
- You may revoke notification access in Android settings.
- You may exclude selected apps from capture, change retention, delete records, disable app lock, clear Android app storage, or uninstall the app.
- For privacy questions or requests, contact codivo@yaani.com.
- Because NotiLoom is designed without a central account or Codivo cloud archive, Codivo may not be able to access, change, recover, or export records that exist only on your device.
Where applicable law grants additional rights, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or complaint rights, mandatory law governs.
9. Children, changes, and contact
NotiLoom is not directed to children. A person below the age at which local law requires parental or guardian permission should use the app only with the required permission. We may update this policy when the app’s data practices materially change. The latest effective date will be shown at the top of this document.
