Terms of Use
These Terms explain the rules for using TestDuo. They help protect participants, preserve the fairness of reciprocal testing, and set clear boundaries around app listings, evidence, messages, marketplace items, and service availability.
1. What TestDuo provides
TestDuo is a tool for coordinating reciprocal Android app-testing relationships. It may provide discovery, requests, test sessions, evidence sharing, private messages, reputation signals, notifications, and optional marketplace entitlements.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must use accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and be legally able to use the service in your location. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Do not create accounts to bypass restrictions, manipulate reputation, evade a refund-related market restriction, or interfere with another user’s access.
3. Your responsibilities
When you publish an app, request a test, accept a test, send a message, or upload evidence, you represent that you have the necessary rights and authority to do so. You remain solely responsible for:
- your app, test build, store listing, package name, privacy disclosures, permissions, group requirements, and legal compliance;
- the accuracy of information you publish or send;
- the safety, legality, and suitability of your app and all content you upload;
- your interactions with other users and any decision to install, test, or communicate about another user’s app.
You must not use TestDuo to distribute malware, deceptive software, prohibited content, infringing material, unlawful surveillance tools, spam, scams, fake evidence, or any content that threatens, harasses, exploits, or harms others.
4. Evidence, messages, and shared content
Evidence and messages are meant to support an active test relationship. Only upload content you are authorised to share. Do not upload secrets, payment details, private keys, authentication codes, personal documents, intimate content, or unnecessary third-party personal data.
By uploading or sending content, you grant Codivo a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, compress, display, transmit, and retain that content only as reasonably necessary to operate TestDuo, deliver the feature you requested, enforce these Terms, protect users, and comply with law. You retain any ownership rights you have in your content.
The participant receiving your evidence or messages may view them and may independently retain notes or copies. TestDuo cannot guarantee the deletion of copies made outside the service.
5. Test rules, decisions, and reputation
TestDuo may use timed workflows, evidence requirements, approval/rejection actions, comments, reputation signals, and automated safeguards to help coordinate testing. Users must follow the applicable in-app rules and deadlines. Missed, late, deceptive, duplicated, or unauthorised evidence may be rejected or may affect a test or reputation outcome under the current service rules.
We may investigate, correct, reverse, limit, or remove actions where we reasonably believe there is an error, abuse, fraud, policy violation, technical issue, or security concern. TestDuo’s records and operational safeguards are not a substitute for your own records or independent judgment.
6. Marketplace items and Google Play purchases
TestDuo may offer optional one-time marketplace items, such as time-based app Boosts, extra app-publication rights, or increased active-test capacity. Availability, price, tax, currency, refund handling, and payment processing are controlled by Google Play and may vary by country or account.
- Boosts apply only to an eligible app selected during checkout and improve visibility for the purchased period; they do not guarantee position, installs, tests, ratings, approval, or results.
- Extra publication rights are consumed when used to publish a new app under the applicable rules. A free renewable publication right, where offered, is separate from paid rights and is used first when available.
- Capacity products adjust the active-test limit associated with the account as described at purchase time. They do not guarantee participant availability.
- Marketplace items have no cash value, are not transferable except where required by law, and may not be exchanged for money or services outside TestDuo.
- If Google Play reverses, refunds, voids, or chargebacks a transaction, we may revoke unused entitlements, restrict related marketplace functions, remove affected visibility, preserve limited security records, or require the account to resolve the resulting entitlement deficit before future marketplace use, to the extent permitted by law.
7. Suspension, removal, and account closure
We may suspend, limit, remove, delist, or terminate content, tests, market access, or accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate abuse, address legal risk, enforce these Terms, respond to a valid request, or comply with law. We will use reasonable judgment, but we are not required to provide advance notice where doing so could create risk, enable evasion, or is not practicable.
You may use available in-app controls to remove content or request account deletion. Closing an account does not erase obligations already incurred, remove another participant’s independent copies, or prevent us from retaining limited information required for security, transaction integrity, disputes, or legal compliance.
8. Service availability and limitation of liability
TestDuo is provided on an “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, including marketplace availability, for maintenance, security, legal, product, or operational reasons. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every device or app, or the preservation of content beyond the retention described in our Privacy Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Codivo and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, app-store decisions, third-party conduct, or testing outcomes. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to TestDuo for the relevant paid feature in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or the minimum amount required by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights where applicable.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as TestDuo evolves or legal, technical, or safety requirements change. The effective date will be updated and material changes may be communicated in the app or by another reasonable method. If you do not agree with an updated version, stop using the affected service features.
